ATI: Axia Force/Torque Sensor Kit

Description

The Axia Force/Torque (F/T) sensor detects six components of force and torque (Fx \ Fy \ Fz \ Tx \ Ty \ Tz ) that are applied to the tool side of the sensor. The sensor communicates this data to a device (such as a personal computer, robot, or PLC). The ATI Axia-series product line differs from the other (non-Axia) ATI F/T sensor models. Thus, the Axia sensors have different options and available features. The Axia-series force/torque sensors are available in several different payload and communication interface versions.

ATI Industrial Automation has expanded its Axia series of easy-to-use, high-precision Multi-Axis Force/Torque (F/T) Sensors with three new models to support a broader range of applications. The Axia90-M50, Axia130-M125, and Axia130-M300 offer seamless ISO-standard mechanical integration, IP67 environmental protection, and increased load ratings of 50Nm, 125Nm, and 300Nm respectively. The Axia130 models also include a large through-hole for easy routing of cables and other utilities through the center of the sensor.

The new Axia90 and Axia130 F/T models join the existing line of Axia80 sensors: Axia80-M8, Axia80-M20, and Axia80-M50. All Axia-series F/T sensors operate on ATI’s industry-leading silicon strain gage technology which provides excellent accuracy, resolution, and overload performance. Electronics and communication options are also common across all Axia models to simplify integration and high-volume deployment.
