RTLC40-S incremental encoder tape scale, compatible with QUANTiC encoder readheads.

RTLC40-S is a 40 µm pitch low-profile stainless steel tape scale. RTLC40-S is applied to the substrate with self-adhesive backing tape, which is formulated to enable the scale to expand independently of the machine substrate. To complete the installation, the scale is clamped at one point to provide a datum position.Featuring 40 µm pitch incremental graduations and IN-TRAC customer selectable reference marks

RTLC 20 or 40 µm linear encoder tape scale combines ±5 µm/m accuracy with the ruggedness of stainless steel. Two versions are available: self-adhesive RTLC-S and RTLC for use with the revolutionary FASTRACK ™ track system from Renishaw. Designed for applications that demand high accuracy and an independent expansion coefficient with tape scale convenience, RTLC is read by Renishaw’s compact and reliable VIONiC™, TONiC™ and QUANTiC™ readheads. RTLC-S is laid onto the substrate using its self-adhesive backing tape. An application tool makes this a quick, simple and inexpensive process. A datum clamp is fitted at a single point to lock the scale to the substrate.

High solvent immunity

Can be used as part of a Functional Safety system when used with TONiC™ FS readheads. IMPORTANT: End covers must be used with the RTLC20-S scale or RTLC20/FASTRACK system in order to be FS approved.
