Phytron: Stepper Motors (phySPACE Series)

Precision that moves.

Stepper motors are synchronous motors. The rotor follows an electrically charged magnetic field. The stepper motor uses a closed loop control system as opposed to the servomotor. This means that position and the number of revolutions are known even without sensor technology by principle. In addition, stepper motors are highly reliable and long-lasting due to their precision and economical construction, even in extreme environments.

Stepper Motor for SPACE applications.

The phySPACE Stepper Motor Series is the result of more than 25 years of space heritage and over 300 phytron motors in space. The phySPACE is built to resist vibrations, radiation and high temperature. Due to the ECSS conform materials the phySPACE fulfills the high requirements for usage in ultra high vacuum, while providing an optimum of power consumption, thermal dissipation, stray magnetic flux, high precision positioning long life and extreme robustness
