The RG2 and RG4 incremental encoder systems have a strong reputation established over many years for providing reliable and robust position
feedback for a wide variety of applications. However, Renishaw is continually developing innovative incremental and absolute encoder technologies
and our latest encoder systems offer a range of additional benefits including enhanced metrology, smaller package size, easier installation and
detailed diagnostics. Therefore, the RG2 and RG4 series are not recommended for new designs.
