Precision Graduations

The use of measuring standards, principally in the form of linear grids, is an essential component of precision graduations. These precision graduations satisfy the highest quality requirements and define both the function and the precision of the measuring device.
A further focus is on the production of customer-specific RSF Elektronik graduations for particular requirements.


Standard Version: Incremental Scale and Reticle


Material

  • Selected float glass

  • Coefficient of length-expansion: (α≈8.5×10-6/K)

  • Chippings: < 0.1 mm

  • Glass thickness of the scale: 2 ±0.2 mm

  • Max. length of glass: 3 300 mm

  • Glass thickness of the reticle: 1 ±0.1 mm


Graduation

  • Sputtered chrome on glass

  • Accuracy of the scale: ≤ ±3 µm/ 1000 mm

  • Max. length of graduation: 3 250 mm

  • Accuracy of the reticle : ≤ ±1.5 µm

  • Possible gratings: 10 (10 µm), 20 (20 µm)
