An operator panel front made of magnesium die cast, a panel-based CNC design requiring less interfaces together with a high degree of protection make SINUMERIK 828 controllers a reliable partner also in harsh environments. By using a fanless configuration without hard disk and the NV-RAM storage technology without buffer battery, SINUMERIK 828D and SINUMERIK 828D BASIC are completely maintenance-free CNC controllers.

More than standardized turning and milling

With their technology-specific system software, SINUMERIK 828D and SINUMERIK 828D BASIC ideal fit perfectly in standardized turning and milling machines. Not only that, the CNC systems provide solutions for easy automation of grinding machines. Applications range from vertical and simple horizontal machining centers – naturally also suitable for mold building applications – to surface and cylindrical grinding machines and two-channel turning centers with counter spindle, driven tools and Y axis.

User-friendly

A fully-fledged QWERTY CNC keyboard with short-stroke keys together with a high-resolution 8.4“/10.4“ TFT color display allow to conveniently operate SINUMERIK 828D and SINUMERIK 828D BASIC. USB, CF card and RJ45 interfaces on the operator panel front allow to quickly and conveniently transfer CNC data.

Description

SINUMERIK 828D is a panel-based CNC solution for standardized milling, turning and grinding machines typical for the job shop. It combines CNC, PLC, operating and axis control functions into one compact unit, which is designed to fit any operator panel housing in both its horizontal and vertical version.

With its powerful CNC functions the SINUMERIK 828D sets a standard in the compact class CNCs. Thanks to an extensive CNC programming package the SINUMERIK 828D is optimally prepared for all global CNC end-user markets.
